Die Spezifikationen des DLT IV Bandes

Hier bewußt der original Fujifilm Wortlaut:

ATOMM technology and DLTtapeTM - high-capacity storage

This is the answer to the high-capacity storage and archiving needs of mid-range systems, network servers and high-end workstations. Native capacity of up to 40GB on a single tape combined with sustained transfer speeds of 6MB/second provide the performance essential to data-intensive applications, while Fujifilm's industry-leading technology delivers the durability and reliability you need to protect your data investment.

Lowered Error Rates

Lateral fluctuation in tape position is a major cause of error rates. Fujifilm's advanced manufacturing and tape-slitting technology keeps these fluctuations to within just a few microns, resulting in a hardware-attributable error rate of just 1 bit per 1x1017 bytes. The actual software error rate is further reduced to only 1 error per 1x1027 bytes, with error detection and automatic write function to record any errors that do occur.

Lower Head Wear, Raised Tape Durability

ATOMM's smooth surface and long-lasting lubricant keep head wear to a minimum, assuring a head life of over 50,000 hours (DLTTM8000). Tape durability is outstanding, with an average life of over one million passes.
